ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER NEEDED FOR one year contract assignment with FORTUNE 100 company. In this role, you will layout, , facilitate, plan, and document the installation, maintenance, repair, modification, troubleshooting,  programming, optimization and design of existing and new manufacturing equipment and all  associated controls of that equipment. Importantly you will provide  PI&C Engineering and Plant Engineering advanced systems expertise with the ability to program, install and optimize new equipment and controls.

SPECIFIC Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the ability to connect and interface with PLC`s using vendor or PC-Based software, RSLinx, RSLogix and have a general understanding of device configuration using connected components.
  • Demonstrate PLC programming and troubleshooting proficiency in troubleshooting equipment PLC Drive faults and malfunctions, install, modify, and diagnose PLC drives and Controllers through Ladder Logix/Control Logix and Panel View.
  • Demonstrate basic working knowledge Control system troubleshooting will include but not limited to, Programmable Control Systems, Human Machine Interfaces, Robots, Motion Control, Variable Frequency Drives, Measurement Systems, Instrumentation, Networks, and Computer system hardware.
  • Demonstrate the abilities to read and comprehend electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic prints and schematics and perform troubleshooting and repairs of these systems.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses Troubleshoot electrical controls, motor circuits, single and three phase electrical systems.
  • Performs preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery Sensors, Interlocks, Control Panels, Gas Analyzers, following standard procedures as indicated on PM sheets or in equipment manuals.
  • Demonstrates a general understanding of electrical Safety Arc Flash Panel protection provided as required under the Electrical Safety SOP



1. High school diploma or GED.

2. Minimum of 3 years proven experience in systems control in a GMP manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or a related industry. Experience must include open and closed loop process control equipment AC/DC drive systems and Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley Series) OR

3. Provide evidence of satisfactory completion of a formal accredited two-year electronics degree, vocational school training, or military training program. 

4. Proficient at use of PC for troubleshooting of PLC based equipment.

5. Along with electronic/electrical skills, possesses troubleshooting skills with production equipment and possess knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, and motion control systems. 

6. Must have the ability score “M” or higher on the Skilled Craft Test Battery which will be given at our expense.


This is a one year contract onsite in Northridge, CA and is available for first, second, or third shift hours per candidate skills and preferences.  THIS IS AN IMMEDIATE NEED.
