IT Business Analyst

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IT professional to join our team as an IT Business Analyst in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will work on IT software projects, day to day support of applications, query data and create reports, work on projects with the process control team to integrate & automate manufacturing processes with the future ERP, and assist the Infrastructure team as needed. You will be responsible for maintaining application security, be a team member in migrating legacy business applications to corporate ERP solutions, and partner with the business in continuous improvement projects. The candidate will be expected to adhere to all safety and EHS policies to insure a safe working environment.


Job Duties:

  • Monitor the IT request queues, respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk, and to urgent requests submitted in-person or via phone.
  • Perform basic system administration and application security tasks including account provisioning and removal, e-mail setup, maintenance of e-mail distribution lists, security groups, and individual resource and folder permissions.
  • Provide support for legacy business applications, Process Historian, Application Security, GE Proficy SDK, MS SQL Server, and MS Office applications, and future SAP implementation.
  • Assist Infrastructure to resolve issues and implement new hardware, scanners, document printers, and label printers.
  • Assists with the design and implementation for on-boarding of new employees.
  • Work with the PLC team to integrate process data into corporately supported solutions.
  • Team member to migrate legacy business applications into ERP solutions. Understand data requirements and flow.
  • Query data using SQL, OBDC, SAP Business Intelligence, and MS Access to provide data for analysis and creating reports.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Familiar with networks, Microsoft SQL Server databases, relational databases and data normalization concepts, and web-based application development
  • Experienced with ERP solutions in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to query data with multiple tools and sources, to provide data for analysis and creating reports
  • Very strong problem solving, reasoning, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, lead small to medium projects, and prioritize workflow to meet business requirements and timelines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, security and integrity of information


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business.
  • Experience in Process Historian, legacy software to SAP migration, application security, GE Proficy SDK, MS SQL Server, and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment where team members from across the region support and fulfill projects, coordinating to deliver the best outcome for the client.
